It’s safe to say that all Oregonians are living in a different space than they were just a few months ago.
When the Spring edition of The Other Oregon was published at the end of March, Gov. Kate Brown had just issued the executive orders that closed schools and many businesses throughout the state. We would not have guessed then that so much of the economy would be shut down for so long.

The economic hardships brought on by COVID-19 have affected some of our steering committee members and advertisers, as well as our parent company, EO Media Group. It’s imperative that The Other Oregon adjusts our business model, so that we can continue to bring news of rural Oregon to those with economic and political influence in the state.
